Translations
There are Italian and Finnish translations for DrawStudio.		      
Fixed Bugs:

  • The current text editor setting in the preferences is not saved when you save the preferences.
  • Crashes have been reported by some users when they change screenmode.

All the patches below will upgrade drawSTUDIO from your original disks. You will therefore need the disks handy, as well as your registration number, which will need to be entered the first time you run the new patched version.

Important: The drawSTUDIO patches always patch from the version you have on your original disks, not the version you currently have installed. For example, if you bought drawSTUDIO v1.0.1 and have since patched it to v1.0.2 using a previous patch, you must choose the "v1.0.1 to v1.1.0" patch to upgrade to v1.0.1.

  • v1.0.1 to v1.1.1 -> Download the patch from v1.0.1 to v1.1.1 (445K)
  • v1.0.2 to v1.1.1 -> Download the patch from v1.0.2 to v1.1.1 (536K)
  • v1.1.0 to v1.1.1 -> Download the patch from v1.1.0 to v1.1.1 (128K)

Demos

Two versions of the demo are provided, one which will work on all Amigas with a 68020 and above and one which is accelerated for use with a Floating Point Unit (FPU). The files are about 630 KB of size.

DrawStudioInstructions For Loading / Running The Demo

  1. Click on one of the links above. Choose the FPU link only if your Amiga has a floating point co-processor; the non-FPU version will work on any 68020 or above Amiga.
  2. Most browsers will recognise the file and allow you to save the downloaded .lha file in a directory on your disk. If your browser attempts to display the .lha file, choose "Save link as..." (of some such similar command) from your browser before clicking on the link.
  3. Move the .lha file to the location on your hard disk where you want to install the program (e.g. "Work:Graphics").
  4. Open a Shell (or CLI) and "cd" to your chosen directory (e.g. "cd Work:Graphics").
  5. Type "lha x dsdem.lha" or "lha x dsdemfpu.lha" to dearchive the files.
  6. Run the program from Workbench.

DrawStudio also requires the presence of the MUI user interface, version 3.3 or above. This may be obtained, free of charge, from many FTP sites, CD-ROMs or from this Web site

Tracer
There is a nice bitmap to vector converter for the Amiga. It's name is XTrace.

Converter / Loaders/Savers
There is a converter to convert DXF, WMF and AMF to DR2D format. It is called MetaView. It is available on AmiNet and on our ftp server: ftp.haage-partner.com in directory "DrawStudio".
Registered DrawStudio customers can request a special keyfileby by e-mail. Please tell us your serial no. and we will send it to you. Please use subject: [DS: MetaView request]

ProDraw to DR2D Converter
To convert ProDraw clips to DR2D there is a special converter from Softlogic.

  • Gold Disk never released any details about their ProDraw "Clip" file format for storing ProDraw clip art. Softlogik however have written a freely distributable converter for converting ProDraw clip art into IFF-DR2D which can be loaded into DrawStudio. The converter is made available here.

Textures

  • A collection of tileable textures and backdrops for use with drawSTUDIO. These textures are updated on a monthly basis, so try next month for more examples! The CD version of drawSTUDIO contains over 500 such examples!

We don't have those ClipArts (besides BASIC) on stock any more. Please contact artworks (UK) directly if you are interested in them. Thanks.

We are now offering the fine ClipArts of artworks (UK). They are delievered in DR2D-Format. Other formats are available on request.
